10-year Re-certification
Requirements for the 10-year re-certification have now been agreed at a meeting of AICIP Management Committee on 20 April 2007. Application forms and other details are presently being finalised.
The re-certification will be comparable with similar re-certification systems overseas to enhance international benchmarking and the credibility of individuals and Australian industry.
It will be the same method and cost as for the 5-year renewal but with a two hour maximum written examination to mainly cover significant changes in the last 5 years to regulations, standards and general practice. Sample questions and answers will be provided shortly and the first exams are to coincide with the next normal AICIP examination on the 10 September 2007. Current registration will be extended to provide for the examination.
WELCOME TO AICIP's NEW WEBSITEOn behalf of AICIP Committee of Management, Staff and Examiners we welcome you to AICIP's new website.
We believe it will be of great help to AICIP Inspectors, applicants, training establishments and industry at large.
A great deal of effort has gone into the development of the website, and we thank those who have contributed with constructive comment and in other ways.
You will note we have added much useful information, now readily accessible, and that we have more to add.
Most of the information is up-to-date but as with any documentation updating is necessary when significant changes are made.
You will also note that there are some areas where we would welcome your views for improvement. Comment is welcome at any time and can be very valuable. For example, feedback to us from examination candidates and comments from Inspectors has helped to make significant improvements to AS/NZS 3788 which has just been revised and balloted.
With your help we feel that the
website will contribute benefits to all.
